The HR Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including employee relations, terminating, and enforcing company policies and practices. They will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential and also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.
Human Resources

  • Assist with the development, coordination and administration of various company programs to including policies/procedures/practices
  • Assist with addressing health and safety concerns and implementation of policy in ensuring the company complies with local provisions and reporting requirements
  • Ensure all relevant personnel information is recorded and up to date in the HRIS system and all other applicable systems
  • Ensure that all applicable employees receive necessary employment requirements as per company policy
  • Provide orientation training to new employees as required
  • Facilitates and provides guidance and recommendations in employee and labor relations meeting/administrative investigation and hearings.
  • Provides ongoing HR consultation and support to business units, as required
  • Partner with management to ensure the company and our employees understand our policies and country-specific guidelines.
  • Review, revise and update policies regularly to ensure alignment with global and local processes.
  • Facilitate employee engagement initiatives.
  • Champion company core values and other company programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Payroll (dependent on country)
  • Process all payroll aspects related to staff promotion, transfers, bonus, commission and wage transactions
  • Assist with employee, internal and external inquiries
  • Produce payroll based on Time & Attendance system input, normal periodic transactions and adhoc requests
  • Maintain withholding orders and remit
  • Produce remittances for government agencies Coordinate with payroll vendor regarding payroll processes (where applicable)
  • Assist with Year End process
  • Process terminations as per country specific legislation
  • Other payroll duties as assigned

Recruitment (dependent on country)
  • Hire new staff as determined through the Recruitment process
  • Interview, conduct reference checks, provide assessment requirements to potential candidates
  • Ensure all relevant personnel information is maintained within the Workday system
  • Ensure background checks are completed in line with company/ client/ legislative requirements
  • Extend offers of employment
  • Other recruitment duties as assigned

Education
College Diploma or University Degree, courses in Human Resources
Experience
Minimum one year experience in HR
Certificates, Licenses, & Registration:
There are no personal certification, licensing, or registration requirements for this job, but membership in a professional Human Resources organization (e.g. HRPAO or SHRM) is desirable.
