Job Description


The Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Suites London, with 180 modern guestrooms and suites, 15,000+ square feet of versatile meeting space, onsite Starbucks\xc2\xae Coffee and Bentley\xe2\x80\x99s Lounge, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This individual should be a self-motivated people person with exceptional communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be well versed in the areas of benefits, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, associate and labour relations. Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to the management team and employee group
  • Assist in recruitment and on boarding process
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records
  • Administration of the company benefit program
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all hotel employees
  • Maintain detailed job descriptions and create new job descriptions when needed
  • Understand and update policies and procedures as needed based on company changes or legislative changes
  • Respond to manager and employee queries regarding policies and procedures
  • Perform the orientation/on boarding of new hires
  • Conduct exit process for departing employee
  • Other duties and projects as required
Other Responsibilities:
  • Health & Safety Hotel Representative
  • Coordinate Staff Social events
  • Daily Cash Balancing
  • Coding invoices
Skills & Qualifications Required
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a Human Resources Coordinator is considered an asset
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of employment and labour laws, HR procedures and practices, legislative provisions regarding recruitment, employment equity, compensation, and health and safety required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, self-manage projects, prioritize workload, and maintain concentration and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions
  • Ability to coach employees at all levels through difficult situations, ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve issues using judgement consistent with the hotels preferences and priorities
  • Computer skills in the area of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • As a condition of employment, candidate must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
