Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in general Human Resources administration
  • Assist HR Manager with employee performance management and general employee relations issues, as requested
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with employees across all levels in the organization
  • Remain current on applicable Provincial employment standards and human rights legislation
  • Coordinate on-boarding of new employees including scheduling pre-employment testing, arranging new hire and safety orientation, sending new hire paperwork, and creating employee in HR system (Workday)
  • Manage the entry and maintain accuracy of HRIS (Workday) process changes and data entry (terminations, managers changes, title changes, job changes, salary changes etc.)
  • Administer and resolve employee issues related to RRSP and benefits plans
  • Create and maintain employee files from new hire status though termination
  • Create monthly HR reporting, including but not limited to, termination, turnover, and ad-hoc requests
  • Manage the tracking of internal programs (including the Certification and Designation program)
  • Organize, lead and document post-interview debrief/feedback with hiring manager and candidates, including conducting exit interviews
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree with a concentration in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 3 years HR experience including handling confidential information and current knowledge of legal regulations, employment laws and best practices for HR and benefits plans
  • Experienced in handling stressful situations, multiple tasks with composure, self-motivated, focused, and works well independently while collaborating with the HR team. A positive outlook will assist with engaging your colleagues and encouraging morale.
  • Experience scheduling preemployment testing
  • Experience with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as HRIS (WorkDay) experience
  • Exceptional team and internal customer service skills are a must
