The HR Generalist will serve as an internal partner who supports/facilitates the development of culture and key capabilities for F&M and M&D Canada Operations. This is a highly visible role serving as an internal partner for all employees. The HR Generalist will consult in various ways with primary responsibility for employee relations and performance management. It is an opportunity to collaborate on anything and everything employee related. This is a Contract position.
What will you do?
Work with the business leaders, HR Operations and Compensation teams to create and review job profiles
Serve as a partner and consultant to leaders and employees on employee relations matters
Provide support to the business leaders surrounding the performance management process
Identify and create materials to support leaders in responding to and addressing common employee relation concerns
Manage Health & Safety Program, take part in Joint Health and Safety Committee meeting; escalate any issues that require management\xe2\x80\x99s attention and recommends policy changes and necessary training to ensure compliance to Health & Safety legislation
Supports the management and tracking of all employee disciplinary action
Assist with employee investigations
Analyze exit interview data and review with leaders to support an environment focused on continuous improvement
Act as point of contact for company project and programs and maintain documentation and tracking
Partner with employees and management to develop and communicate various human resource policies, procedure, laws, standards, and other government regulations
Provides administrative support and overall coordination of tasks for employee events
Exemplify, and advocate for, the Holman Way in all interactions with employees
What are we looking for?
Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources or related field
2 to 5 years of HR generalist experience in corporate & manufacturing environments is preferred
Professional Designation (CHRP or CHRL) in Human Resources is preferred
Training in employment law, compensation, organization development, employee relations, safety and training preferred
Effectively balance employee and company interests to manage risks and create a positive employee relations environment
Comfortable creating a solid customer experience with every interaction
Must be results driven with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast paced environment
Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and employees
Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in Workday as a human resource information system is an asset
