THE JOB
The People Operations team (or "POps") has an opening for a dedicated, organized and personable HR professional. At IUGO, the POps team are responsible for a wide variety of the company\'s wellbeing including managing the ATS/HRIS (BambooHR), events & culture, employee performance, benefits, recruitment, social media, on and off boarding, office maintenance and healthy & safety. Wearing many hats excites our team and we constantly look for new ways to improve ourselves and our processes. You are detail oriented, motivated to collect and act on data, energetic, helpful, and process driven. You can effectively liaise and collaborate with your own team, accounting, producers, hiring managers and executives. As an organization who is constantly improving and growing in the booming games industry, you bring forth considerable experience with a willingness to take on new challenges every day.

WORK FROM HOME OR THE OFFICE
Our employees are currently given the option to either work remotely from home, OR from the studio. Our entire interview and onboarding process can be completed from the comfort of your own home. All applications will be considered. Please note this role will be required to attend the studio at times, and external events.
Your Role at a Glance:
  • Manage employee and applicant data using BambooHR
  • Acquire top talent through full cycle recruitment including job shadowing, post writing, headhunting, phone screens, interview scheduling, reference checks and salary negotiation
  • Host training sessions for new hires, hiring leads and benefits education
  • Host monthly company meeting presentations to review studio updates
  • Execute company engagement and incentive programs
  • Strategize company events and celebrations for a hybrid work place
  • Represent the company at local gaming events, hiring fairs and fundraising functions (virtual for now!)
  • Communicate regularly with accounting on HR budget, employee reimbursements and payroll
  • Manage employee experience from onboarding to offboarding with empathy and discretion
  • Assist in promoting business and employer brand using social media
  • Assist with Occupational Health and Safety and emergency procedure protocol
  • Keep documentation updated as needed and as changes arise

What You Bring:
  • A minimum of 2 years Human Resources experience
  • Ability to remain calm and organized in a busy environment
  • Hunger for more responsibility and personal growth
  • Creativity, open mindedness, and a passion for best people practices.
  • A solutions motivated mindset with a willingness to work on tough problems
  • Time management, reliability and ability to push progress with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with all Google Suite tools
  • Experience with an HRIS

Bonus points if you have:
  • CPHR, bachelor in HR, business, psychology, or a related field
  • Experience using BambooHR
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
  • First Aid Level 1 or 2
