ABOUT THE POSITION Nahanni Construction Ltd. is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to work on a Monday to Friday schedule out of the Head Office in Yellowknife, NT. The Human Resources Coordinator will provide HR support to the Head Office in Yellowknife, NT and to various remote Project Sites. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to work independently while adhering to strict deadlines. Compensation dependent on experience; position includes comprehensive benefits package. SCOPE

  • Oversee HR Administrator (on-boarder) and assist with onboarding when required: o Issue hire on documents via Bamboo HR. o Conduct site clearances as required, including the booking of medicals, drug and alcohol testing, and criminal record checks. o Enter employees in the Payroll Software, Jonas Construction.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including the creation of job ads, posting of job ads and resume screening.
  • Continuously update hire on packages to ensure they are compliant with Territorial, Provincial and Federal legislation and Acts.
  • Administer benefit plans and respond to employee inquiries relating to the Plan.
  • Provide support to employees and managers on various HR related topics and policies.
  • Provide support and advice on terminations, employee relations, and performance.
  • Collect and analyze employee master data.
  • Maintain electronic employee records.
  • Act as point of contact for benefit, compensation and other employee inquiries.
  • Work closely with HR Administrator and Payroll Specialist to ensure employee data is accurate.
  • Ensure compliancy with Territorial and Provincial Employment Standards Acts and the Human Rights Code.
  • Monitor changes in Government Legislation as it relates to Human Resource related issues and concerns.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field is a requirement.
  • 2 \xe2\x80\x93 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in an HR Generalist Capacity or a related position.
  • Experience working in the construction or industrial mining industry would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working on an HRIS system such as Bamboo HR, Humi, SAP, etc.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Extremely organized and attentive to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
