Human Resources Coordinator

You are an organized and detail oriented individual with a keen interest and background in HR. Work in a fast paced environment where you can create an impact on the healthcare system in BC.

What you'll do

  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate administrative processes and systems for effective and efficient human resource activities
  • Providing advice and recommendations on a wide range of human resource management issues
  • Advises managers, instructors and staff on HR policies and processes, assisting the leadership to navigate working with other HR areas, such as Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Classification, Workplace Experience and Employee Records & Benefits,
  • Works alongside operational partners and employee inquiries by acting as a first point of contact for requests in order to ensure response and proper linkages within HR are made; providing information and guidance on work practices and processes, application on collective agreement language, HR policies; and promotes HR strategies, corporate initiatives and services to facilitate understanding and foster cooperative relationships
  • Develops, maintains and evaluates administrative processes and systems for effective and efficient human resource activities. Evaluates procedures, makes recommendations and implements revised methods to improve HR administration.
  • Efficiently coordinate projects, achieving goals and meeting timelines and prepare minutes, agendas, logistics, project deliverables, and other documentation
  • Professionally engage with a wide range stakeholders and develop effective, respectful, and strategic partnerships
  • Identify, collect, and analyze project information and provide input and recommendations to project team and help dissemination project information
What you bring
  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in HR, plus a minimum of one to three (1-3) years of recent and related experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; aptitude to listen, ascertain the needs of clients, and respond accordingly in a timely and efficient manner
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, positive relationships and effectively work with various stakeholders and colleagues
  • Basic knowledge of standard HR policies and practices, collective agreements, and related employment legislation
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Able to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload to manage concurrent multiple projects and successfully meet deadlines

Job Type: Temporary Casual (37.5 hours per week)

Location: V6H 4C1

Wage: $54,429 -$78,241 / year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
