Our client, a real estate company located in Mid-Town Toronto, is hiring for a Human Resources Coordinator! This position is in office 5 days a week.
Your job duties will include:
- Communicating with Managing Partners and property administrators to determine
staffing needs
- Creating, posting, and tracking job descriptions on hiring platforms, as well as
coordinating with third party placement agencies
- Performing preliminary review of resumes, and conducting initial interviews, with a view
to communicating recommendations to senior management
- Running interviews, reference check and hiring candidates for certain positions
- Conducting integration process for newcomers
- Preparing employment and related contracts on the company\'s standard forms, under supervision of legal counsel
- Overseeing the discipline of staff (e.g., conducting interviews and internal investigations, issuing disciplinary letters under supervision of legal counsel, reporting to and communicating recommendations to senior management)
- Sending memo, group policies and other types of announcements (welcome, resignation, official days off, etc.)
- Creating and updating personnel files, discussing and tracking employees\' salary
increase/review and providing supportive documents
- Managing team building activities and social events
- Tracking vacation and personal days of employees
- Ensuring the enrolment of qualifying employees into the group insurance plan
- Developing and periodically updating policies related to employee conduct (e.g.,
harassment, use of company property), with a view to formalizing a general employee
handbook
Experience/ Education:
- Bachelor\'s or college degree/certificate in Human Resources
- Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation (currently in progress or recognized) is an asset
- Comfortable working independently and with a small team
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a coordination role
- Full understanding of HR functions
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
