Relationships are formed quickly, informally, and comfortably, and gaining the enthusiasm and cooperation of others. In this job, it is very important to connect with other people: to meet new and different people on a day to day basis, to quickly form relationships, and to use those relationships to get work done. Great attentiveness to other people is required: an ability to read other people, to listen to them, and to empathize with them. Much of the work centers around working with and through other people. The job involves persuading others through gaining an understanding of where they\xe2\x80\x99re coming from, and using that information to bring them to your desired resolution. Communication is almost always of a "selling" rather than "telling" nature. A lively enthusiasm is necessary. Personal interactions will generally be upbeat and cheerful, requiring someone who is warm, helpful, and friendly. Others must be put at ease, and feel welcome. This work is not detail-oriented in nature. The same easy-going, informal manner that is required of personal interactions carries over into any work products. The job is relatively free from direct involvement with details, with few strict guidelines. This job allows much flexibility in how the results are produced. There will be a fair degree of difference from one day to the next, especially with regard to personal interactions. There will be several "pots on the fire" at once, and a relatively quick pace is required to keep everything going smoothly. The HR Coordinators\xe2\x80\x99 Responsibilities: Compliance \xc2\xb7 Assist HR Coordinator in reviewing current regulatory requirements and changes to OHSA, ESA, Provincial and Regional regulations. \xc2\xb7 Suggest changes and updates to existing employee policies. \xc2\xb7 Provide proofreading support for employee handbooks, policies, and company wide communications. Administration \xc2\xb7 Maintain current HRIS (HRMS Sage), remuneration, time and attendance, benefits administration, employee records administration. \xc2\xb7 Support HR Coordinator in developing a talent inventory (including skills outside of current position) \xc2\xb7 Maintain active employee list for GoodLife, CALM, Mister Safety Shoe HR Support \xc2\xb7 Act as HR Coordinator backup in their absence. \xc2\xb7 Supports managers in finding documentation for corrective actions and related improvement plans. \xc2\xb7 Respond to general inquiries from staff regarding policies, procedures, reimbursements, benefits etc. Full Cycle Recruitment \xc2\xb7 Ensures proper recruitment cycle takes place from valid job descriptions, job posting, resume screening, phone interviews through to executing the onboarding programme alongside HR Coordinator. \xc2\xb7 Suggest new methods to attract talent. \xc2\xb7 Support HR Coordinator and Brand Manager in the design and implementation of a recruitment marketing plan. Training and Development \xc2\xb7 Provides coaching and support to staff promoting personal and career growth plans. \xc2\xb7 Assist HR Coordinator in mapping career growth plans for existing positions within the company. Company Culture \xc2\xb7 Supports HR Coordinator in developing and leading the Betz Pools social committee. \xc2\xb7 Review Canadian and International calendars to ensure diversity and inclusion in company communications and events. \xc2\xb7 Create posters and culture driven company communication under the direction of the HR Coordinator and Brand Manager The Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Previous work experience as an HR Coordinator or Assistant for 2 years. \xc2\xb7 In-depth knowledge of provincial and federal regulations. \xc2\xb7 Degree or Certificate in Human Resources. \xc2\xb7 Experience in full-cycle recruitment. \xc2\xb7 Knowledgeable in the use and maintenance of HRIS systems \xc2\xb7 Basic understanding of the payroll process HR Coordinators\xe2\x80\x99 Required Skills: \xc2\xb7 Prioritization and Organizational skills. \xc2\xb7 Focus on continuous learning, growth, and development. \xc2\xb7 In person and virtual presentation skills \xc2\xb7 Active listening skills \xc2\xb7 Communication Skills \xc2\xb7 Adept multitasker \xc2\xb7 Learning and growth mindset Hours of Work: \xc2\xb7 Hours of work vary throughout the week to ensure all employees have access to human resources within their working hours. \xc2\xb7 1-2 days a week working 6:00am to 2:30pm, and \xc2\xb7 Working 8:30am to 5:00pm all other days of the week.
