Career Opportunity Due to our continued growth, we have a new opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator. We are looking for a well-rounded HR professional to join our team. This role reports to the Director of Human Resource and will be responsible for a variety of HR administrative duties. You will have the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic, and agile HR team and support various HR and talent acquisition functions and special projects. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. The candidate will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR operations & projects. The nature of the role is dynamic, and the scope of responsibilities may change from time to time to support evolving business needs.   • Provide timely assistance to team members regarding benefit and human resource questions and issues
  • Prepare offer packets, benefit packets and other employee related information
  • Provide written and verbal employment verifications
  • Manage WCB Program - Coordination of claims/liaison between organizations and WCB
  • Manage the Employee Orientation Program
  • Assist with the creation of training manuals, HR manual, and employee handbook
  • Administer the entire employee life cycle from Onboarding to Offboarding
  • Assist in the full cycle recruitment and selection process; develop & post ads, conduct prescreening, interviews, background checks, offers of employment and onboarding
  • Coordinate & track probation and semi/annual performance appraisals
  • Coordinate with payroll and benefits administrator to ensure Finance is updated of any changes
  • Maintain various trackers – Training, recruitment etc…
  • Assist with creation, distribution, and collection of feedback from company-wide annual survey
  • Assist in preparation of special events such as Year End Celebration and other office or company gatherings
  • Conduct exit interviews and compile necessary data for review
  • Hold a shared responsibility for managing the HR inbox answering queries from internal & external sources, whilst promoting a 'self-service' model
  • Maintain employee HR files
  • Contribute to special projects throughout the year
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Core Competencies
  • Post-secondary education with a focus in Human Resources Management, Business, or relevant field
  • 2-5 years of experience in HR with working knowledge of multiple human resource areas
  • Knowledge of HR Best Practices and its impact on the organization
  • Bilingual preferred (English & French)
  • Intermediate computer systems knowledge (MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills
  • Solid work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter with a natural sense of urgency & solid problem-solving skills
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally
  • Must be detail conscious while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and privacy pertaining to all employee and payroll records and any shared internal communications
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines & deliver sustainable results
  • Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable
  • Strive to improve business results through new ideas and actions; encourage and participate in innovative approaches
