REACH Edmonton is looking to fill one HR Coordinator position to support our organization with HR- related processes. Who\xe2\x80\x99s involved? The HR Coordinator will work closely with the Director, HR and Finance and the advisor of the Staff Engagement and Wellbeing Committee to ensure that there is equitable access, balance and consistency in staffs\xe2\x80\x99 understanding and experience of REACH\xe2\x80\x99s procedures, policies, and culture. A bit about you A human resource coordinator\'s primary objective is to assist the Director, HR and Finance with the company\'s administrative functions, including talent recruitment. This involves assisting with scouting prospective candidates, helping to coordinate interviews with qualified applicants, and innovating the onboarding process for new hires.
This position will work with the Director, HR and Finance and the advisor to the Staff Engagement and
Wellbeing Committee to deliver and implement the goals and deliverables of the HR Strategic Plan.
You will assist to ensure that there is equitable access, balance and consistency in staffs\xe2\x80\x99 understanding and experience of REACH\xe2\x80\x99s procedures, policies, and culture. This includes intentional efforts to be inclusive and to increase engagement of all staff in organizational processes. You will communicate openly with all staff (meeting minutes, decisions, actions) and give staff an opportunity to review policies, decisions, etc. ensuring equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging is incorporated.   • Helps to manage the work of the human resource department ensuring the HR Strategic Plan deliverables are met.

The key responsibilities/deliverables of the HR Coordinator include:
  • Assist to Identify gaps in procedures, organizational structure, and staff engagement opportunities.
  • Create a safe and anonymous environment for discussion of issues that are then brought forward to Leadership for decision.
  • Create solutions and implement them.
  • Communicate openly with all staff (meeting minutes, decisions, actions) and give all staff an opportunity to review policies, decisions, etc.
  • Arrange and facilitate all staff meetings to discuss any emerging HR needs
  • Implement health and wellbeing challenges, ie step challenges, healthy goals, etc.
  • Plan and organize staff retreats
  • Plan and organize holiday staff events
  • Assist with administrative functions, including talent recruitment. This involves scouting prospective candidates, coordinating interviews with qualified applicants, and establishing an onboarding process for new hires.
  • Ensure open communication between staff and the leadership team
  • Provide monthly HR email updates to staff
Selection Process: Applications will be shortlisted by a panel of REACH staff. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by a panel of REACH staff and external representatives.
