NEW OPPORTUNITY:
HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR Calgary, AB
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the HR Coordinator will provide day-to-day support, assisting with delivering on HR priorities across the company and its portfolio of hotels across Canada. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will collect and analyze data to monitor, measure, and improve key HR metrics. The HR Coordinator will support both English- and French-speaking team members within the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Support

  • Assist in executing initiatives for all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, health and safety / wellness, employee relations, training and development, employee separation and HR administration.
  • Build strong, collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employees and managers.
  • Support full cycle recruitment processes, including posting, conducting and coordinating interviews and background checks.
  • Assist in facilitating new and/or updated processes within the HR function across the company and assist in executing changes to policies and procedures as required.
  • Ensure HR practices are compliant with relevant legislative requirements and company core values, maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Assist in obtaining and providing information regarding the impact of relevant legislation, employment standards and best work practices.
  • Prepare documentation as needed, including employment agreements, offer letters, confirmation of employment in English and French. Assist with French translations as required.
  • Ensure reporting, documentation and administrative requirements are completed in a timely manner.
  • Manage shared mailboxes, including forwarding to applicable individuals as required.
  • Other relevant duties as required.

Data Analysis
  • Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government and/or industry statistics, practices, and other sources.
  • Compile reports of HR data results.
  • Create reporting dashboards to enable the analysis of HR data.
  • Conduct employee file reviews and audits to ensure record keeping is current and up to data.
  • Maintain accurate and up to data records of HR data, including managing and administering employee changes in HRIS (Bamboo HR).

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience Required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administration or a relevant role
  • Previous exposure to cross-provincial employment standards, human rights, OHS and privacy legislation
  • Previous project coordination experience considered an asset
  • Previous experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)

Desired Education
  • CPHR designation or working towards designation preferred
  • University degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline
