Job descriptionIn collaboration with the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Advisor offers support to managers and employees in multiple human resources management activities. We are looking for someone who is passionate about all aspects of HR!Responsibilities\xc2\xb7 Implement and administer employee policies;\xc2\xb7 Provide high quality advice and services to management on day-to-day employee relations and performance management issues;\xc2\xb7 Support the human resources department in the implementation of programs to enhance the employee experience;\xc2\xb7 Manage workplace accident files and conduct investigations;\xc2\xb7 Play an advisor role to managers in all areas of human resources;\xc2\xb7 Coordinate recruitment and staffing mandates: Search for active and passive candidates via social media, post positions and interview candidates;\xc2\xb7 Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates;\xc2\xb7 Identify ways to improve policies and procedures;\xc2\xb7 Prepare termination and disciplinary letters;\xc2\xb7 Train and provide support to members of the Human Resources team;\xc2\xb7 Perform administrative tasks, including planning, file maintenance and mail sorting for the Human Resources department;\xc2\xb7 Support and assist with driver pay, manage complaints, errors in pay\xc2\xb7 Manage vacation pay for drivers\xc2\xb7 Manage / submit office payroll as well as keep track of sick days, days in lieu, vacation days.\xc2\xb7 Participate in/organize corporate events and trade shows to promote the company and its benefits;"\xc2\xb7 Monitor and update employees\' leaves;\xc2\xb7 Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations and employee training sessions;\xc2\xb7 Compile statistics and participate in trend analysis to make recommendations for continuous improvement;\xc2\xb7 Participate in/organize corporate events and trade shows to promote the company and its benefits;\xc2\xb7 Participate in meetings between Human Resources and Operations with the mandate to create an environment that makes us an employer of choice;\xc2\xb7 Follow-up with termination reports to analyze the reasons for the drivers\' departure and make recommendations.Health and Safety: Responsible for the general health and safety program.\xc2\xb7 Organize and conduct health and safety committee meetings;\xc2\xb7 Ensure that inspections and incident reviews focus on claims prevention, particularly in areas where we have had injuries or incidents of concern;\xc2\xb7Raise areas of concern.Skills and Abilities:\xc2\xb7 BAC in Human Resources or Industrial Relations completed.\xc2\xb7 Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.\xc2\xb7 Expertise in HR policies and procedures.\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of hiring processes.\xc2\xb7 Understanding of human resources best practices and current regulations.\xc2\xb7 Good judgment and problem-solving skills.\xc2\xb7 Client-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion.\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with the MS Office suite.\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills.\xc2\xb7 Objectivity.\xc2\xb7 Teamwork skills.\xc2\xb7 Organization and time management.\xc2\xb7 Initiative.\xc2\xb7 Ability to handle confidential information.XTL OFFERS:\xc2\xb7 Group insurance paid 100% by the employer after 3 months of probation\xc2\xb7 Access to our RRSP match program after 3 months of service\xc2\xb7 Competitive salary\xc2\xb7 Schedule that allows work-life balance.#AbjobPowered by JazzHR
