Job Description

Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time Human Resources Advisor to work 1-year, extendable contract, for a well-established and dynamic entertainment establishment located in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a partnership and proactive support experience that allows to streamline service which amplifies efficiencies and continuous service delivery. The ideal candidate will have Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources and a minimum of 2 years of experience in this field. * Location: Calgary, AB

  • Job type: Full-time | 1 Year contract, extendable
Duties and Responsibilities: * Oversee the Workers' Compensation program which may include claim submission and management, return to work plans and partner with third party medical institutions
  • Manage short-term and long-term disability leaves
  • Assist with year-round recruitment and implement a strategy to secure top talent
  • Oversee the total compensation rewards plans and take part of the collective bargaining process
  • Complete analysis through employee surveys and market research, trends in wellness programs check-ins with all staff, provide recommendations for additional perks, benefits, and staff engagement ideas while partnering with payroll and benefits team
  • Participate on the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee (JOHSC) and attend internal/external meetings as required working with the committee to coordinate communication and follow through on compliance regulations
  • Assist the Volunteer Services Manager with volunteer recruitment and recognition programs and other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements: * Holder of a Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources
  • 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in Human Resources /volunteer services administration, or an equivalent combination
  • Working knowledge of OH&S legislation and the ability to interpret the Alberta OH&S Act, Regulations & Code, as well as awareness of appropriate actions resulting from violations and infractions
  • Experience in developing OH&S documentation that meets or exceeds Alberta OH&S legislation, as well as in developing and monitoring return-to-work and workplace accommodations programs
  • Experience in managing WCB claims, RTW, and workplace accommodation programs
  • Great attention to details and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discretely
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
