Employee Care Junior Human Resources Advisor
MISSION STATEMENT:

The Employee Care Junior HR Advisor is responsible for ensuring that our front-line staff are being supported in a
manner that is consistent with Paladin’s expectations. This is primarily achieved through collaborating with the
Employee Care team, Paladin’s Management and Supervisory teams to ensure fair and productive approaches are taken
with our people. The EC Junior Human Resources Advisor will focus on employee retention strategies by maximizing the
employee experience by ensuring our management teams are effectively supporting, recognizing, and continually
coaching our front-line staff throughout their careers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Exemplify the consummate Paladin brand ambassador to our employees.
  • Answer day-to-day HR inquires and questions for our employees and liaise with interdepartmental leads to
ensure employee concerns are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Deliver Supervisory training curriculum and incorporate feedback from Employee Care Advisor and Employee
Care Manager as it relates to trending performance issues from Supervisors and Field Staff.
  • Work closely with Training and Development Manager to create, maintain and deliver Supervisory or Leadership
training to high potential candidates as part of the overall branch succession plan. Ensuring representation from
all security verticals would also be important to ensure that the branch succession plan is reaching maximize
number of candidates and providing the most effective business continuity plan.
  • Co-lead Employee Care initiatives including the Annual Holiday Party, 24-hours of Thanks, 4 seasons of giving etc
  • Conduct site visits to meet with our employees regarding career planning and progression opportunities.
  • Conduct focus group surveys, compile data and condense into reportable metrics for senior management.
  • Play an integral role in Paladin’s succession planning, career mapping and talent management.
  • Manage the Paladin’s employee Rewards and Recognition program that includes participation in seasonal events
and culture initiatives.
  • Recommend appropriate corrective action for employee performance and conduct issues and provide mediation
services when needed to achieve resolution. The ECWP be working alongside the EC Advisor, EC Manager and
Talent Acquisition team to find individuals who have been removed with or without cause into comparable roles

  • Perform other duties as requested to assist with corporate and/or branch needs.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Proven ability to embrace change and adversity in a rapidly growing and changing environment
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Management or Human Resources and/or CPHR designation considered an asset.
Minimum of 3 years of related Human Resources Administrator or Coordinator experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, build relationships, facilitate group discussions, and interact with
people at all levels of the organization with tact, diplomacy and in a professional manner.
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of Employment Standards Legislation and Human Rights Legislation
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook
