A reputable and ethical company is currently seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Human Resources Assistant to join their team and add to their dynamic company culture A. Robert Half has an amazing opportunity for a self-starter looking to grow with a reputable company while handling responsibilities such as, handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. If you\'re based in the Newmarket, Ontario area, you may want to check out this HR Assistant opportunity offered on a short-term contract / temporary basis.

Your responsibilities

- Attract and retain talent through proactive recruitment of hourly and salaried employees. Partner with operations management to implement a superior recruitment process. Oversees internal job posting system. Re-write job descriptions as necessary. Organize and distribute hardware and other equipment. Collaborate with supervisors/leaders to build departmental organization layouts and succession plans.

- Participate in planning new employee orientation meetings

- Perform various administrative duties

- Ensure compliance to all applicable regulatory laws such as the ESA, The Act, OHSA, AODA, CNESST and the Human Rights Code.

- Preside over employee database records

- Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

- Past experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

- Approachable and appropriate demeanor when interacting with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing environment

- Full Cycle Recruiting experience desired

- HRIS experience

- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

- Familiar with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

- At least 3+ years of HR related experience desired
