to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting a broad range of HR functions with a primary focus on
payroll coordination, benefits administration, RRSP program management, and other Human Resource administrative tasks
. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing, maintain benefit programs, and provide excellent employee support while also contributing to Human Resource operations and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Coordination:
Coordinate and process semi-monthly payroll in collaboration with finance and payroll service providers.
Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and payroll inputs for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Submit required information to payroll.
Address payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all federal and provincial payroll regulations.
Benefits Administration:
Administer group benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and issues.
Coordinate benefits enrollment and support employee education on benefit options.
Liaise with benefits providers and brokers to ensure accurate enrollment and coverage.
RRSP Program Administration:
Manage the company's Group RRSP program, including employee enrollments, contribution changes, and withdrawals.
Collaborate with plan providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of contributions and compliance with legislative requirements.
Educate employees on the RRSP plan, eligibility, and contribution options.
General HR Support:
Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Maintain accurate employee records in Human Resource Information Systems and personnel files.
Assist in implementing Human Resource policies, procedures, and programs.
Support performance management, employee engagement, training requirements, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a Human Resource Coordinator or Payroll/Benefits Coordinator role.
Knowledge of payroll systems and relevant legislation (e.g., CRA, ESA, FLSA).
Experience administering benefits and retirement savings plans.
Proficient with Human Resource Information Systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
