If you have a passion for Human Resources and you\'re looking for an exciting, new opportunity, Robert Half has a unique position with a local non-profit organization as a Senior Human Resources Advisor. This role involves various HR duties, including recruiting, owning new hire orientation, managing the employee handbook, and handling employee relations.

What you get to do every single day

- Evaluate employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
- Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
- Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
- Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
- Create - Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
- Collaborate with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
- Compare federal, provincial, and local laws to current internal policies and procedures
- Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters

- Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
- CHRP/CHRL designation preferred
- Prior experience in a non-profit or professional services setting
- Strong business acumen and ability to communicate and liaise with senior directors
- Able to work autonomously with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
