What You'll Bring to the Canvas:
As our Head of HR, you'll be at the forefront of our organizational success, leading and executing HR initiatives that align seamlessly with our strategic goals. Your expertise will touch every facet of the employee journey, all while fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can flourish.
Impactful Leadership:
Strategic Vision:
You'll provide data-driven insights and recommendations on workforce planning, organizational structure, and employee engagement, developing and implementing HR strategies that propel the WAG forward.
Talent Architect
: Lead the charge in attracting, retaining, and developing top talent. You'll champion innovative recruitment efforts, develop robust succession plans, and ensure our performance management processes empower our team to excel.
Culture Champion:
Play a crucial role in shaping a positive and productive work environment. You'll navigate employee and labour relations with finesse, lead collective bargaining processes, and be the go-to expert for all HR matters, fostering a culture of respect and collaboration.
DEI Innovator
: Drive initiatives that champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, creating a workplace that truly reflects the richness of our community and beyond.
Organizational Catalyst:
Guide organizational development initiatives and seamlessly manage change, ensuring our team is equipped and resilient through periods of growth and evolution.
Your Toolkit
:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (a Master's is a definite asset!).
A Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is highly desirable.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a unionized environment.
Extensive knowledge of Canadian employment and labour laws, employment standards, health and safety regulations, and other relevant legal frameworks governing the workplace.
Proven success in talent management, employee and labour relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and organizational development.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong, trusting relationships at all levels of the organization, including with union representatives.
