Executive Director
Winnipeg MBOn behalf of our client, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead the organization's operations and strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for a leader with a passion for community services and a proven track record in non-profit management. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies, and driving the organization's mission forward. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors.As the Executive Director you will:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure high-quality program and service delivery.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, working in collaboration with the Finance Director.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ALIDA legislation and Community Living disABILITY Services (CLDS) policies.
  • Manage human resource functions, including staffing, training, and performance management, in collaboration with the HR Director.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with funders, government agencies, and community partners.
  • Represent the organization at advocacy events, public engagements, and industry meetings.
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives to promote growth, sustainability, and innovation.
  • Ensure risk management strategies are in place to safeguard operational integrity.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors, preparing reports and offering recommendations.
  • Oversee external contracts and agreements to support organizational objectives.
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive environment for individuals receiving services.
You and Your Experience:
  • Minimum five years of leadership experience in a non-profit or social services setting.
  • Strong knowledge of ALIDA legislation and Community Living disABILITY Services (CLDS) policies would be an asset.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and securing funding.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in human resource management, including staff development and performance management.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, adaptability, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Possess a valid Manitoba 5F driver's license, a vehicle, and a clean driving abstract.
  • Provide a clear criminal record check including a vulnerable sector search.
