We also manufacture private label diapers and training pants for North American retailers.The HR Director, Talent and Strategy will be based out of Dieppe, New Brunswick (100 Midland Drive, E1A 7G9) and is responsible for fostering growth, aligning initiatives with organizational goals, and delivering a positive employee experience. The HR Director, Talent and Strategy drives recruitment strategies, builds talent pipelines, collaborates with stakeholders, leads change management efforts, contributes to HR strategy and planning, and aligns with Centers of Excellence to drive organizational development. This position provides leadership in managing innovative human resources strategies focused on employee growth and development to support the organization in realizing our 2030 vision. This is a permanent, full-time position.   • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field
  • 10 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing HR teams, with a focus on mentoring and supporting team members
  • Strong understanding of HR operations, employee lifecycle management, and talent processes
  • Demonstrated ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and drive a positive employee experience
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving change and delivering sustainable results
  • Relevant HR certifications (i.e. CPHR, SHRM) are an asset
The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:
  • Lead a team of HR professionals, providing mentorship and support to 2 direct reports and 3 indirect reports. Focus on fostering the growth and development of team members, ensuring that initiatives are aligned to organizational goals, and focused on delivering a positive employee experience. Cultivate a high-performing team that not only contributes to the overall success of the organization but also prioritizes the well-being and advancement of its employees.
  • Oversee the Recruitment function, providing coaching and leadership to the Recruitment Manager on strategies related to sourcing, recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes. Collaborate with the recruitment team to develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent. Oversee all optimization activities within the HR function, working closely with the HR Optimization Lead to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Working closely with the HR VP and HR Director, Operations; build the talent pipelines from emerging, established, and executive talent to provide robust succession plans. Partner with the Corporate Learning & Development teams to enhance programs to improve individual and organizational capabilities.
  • Provide support for HR strategy and planning, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the HR function. Lead the development of the OGSIM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Initiatives, and Measures) framework for the HR function, collaborating with key stakeholders to define clear objectives, strategies, and performance measures that guide the execution of HR initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Align with Centers of Excellence (COE) and serve as a liaison for leadership insights, coaching, organizational development, learning and development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Lead change management initiatives related to organizational restructuring and other business transformations within the HR function.
