Job Description

Ashcroft Terminal and the PSA Group are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our growing team! As the only private logistics terminal in Canada with CP & CN mainlines onsite, ATL is strategically located to help shippers, manufacturers, and producers prepare their commodities for export or import. As a member of PSA International, Ashcroft Terminal is part of a global network of supply chain professionals! In the position of HR Coordinator,you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department by performing various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of HR operations. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional HR support. In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Coordinating new hire onboarding activities, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records, including personal information, attendance, and performance evaluations.
  • Supporting HR projects, such as employee engagement initiatives, training and development programs, and policy updates.
  • Providing assistance with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as required.
For success in this role, you must have:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as an HR Coordinator or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
