Job Description


Mosaic Home Services Ltd. is a rapidly growing family of home improvement brands dedicated to providing exceptional services to our customers. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized HR Coordinator to join our team. As an HR Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department in various administrative and operational tasks, including hiring remote employees, conducting performance reviews, and creating career development plans.
Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing offer letters. Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding process, including completion of required paperwork, benefits enrollment, and orientation sessions, for both in-person and remote employees in other cities.
  • Employee Records and Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and other HR-related documents. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding recordkeeping. Manage HR databases and systems, and generate reports as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Assist in handling employee inquiries, providing information on HR policies and procedures, and resolving routine HR-related issues. Help to create a positive employee experience by maintaining open communication channels, promoting employee engagement initiatives, and supporting employee recognition programs.
  • Benefits and Compensation Administration: Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. Coordinate the annual performance review process, including goal setting, feedback collection, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with managers to create career development plans for employees and assist in implementing relevant training and development opportunities.
  • HR Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and practices. Ensure that HR policies and procedures are communicated effectively to employees, including remote employees, and applied consistently across the organization.
  • HR Projects and Initiatives: Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion programs, wellness programs, and other HR-related projects as assigned.
  • Remote Employee Management: Collaborate with managers and employees to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of remote employees in other cities. Coordinate and facilitate remote team meetings, training sessions, and other HR-related activities to ensure remote employees feel connected and engaged with the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in HR coordination or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bamboo HR Systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
