The Human Resources Coordinator is an energetic self-starter who will provide comprehensive administrative support for the daily operations of the human resources department. This role will assist with the administration, coordination, and implementation of corporate human resources programs in accordance with business objectives.
  • Support the Toronto Branch by implementing HR programs, developing reports and communications as required
  • Resume and candidate screening, interview scheduling and administering background checks, employment offers, and candidate responses
  • Conduct new employees orientation
  • Assist in organizing and maintain filing, online HR folders, and information
  • Organize all administration related to training, including enrollment, materials, and attendance and evaluation tracking
  • Work with other branch HR and corporate HR teams to develop programs and processes to support employee engagement initiatives and Spectrum\'s Total Care model
  • Assists in the performance management process of field staff; including meeting setup, minute taking, and performance-related letters and correspondence
  • Other duties as required


Qualifications
  • Post-secondary Human Resources graduate with CHRP/CHRL designation
  • Working knowledge of Collective Agreements and the management of unionized staff members
  • Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience with emphasis in recruitment, employee relations, health and safety, and benefits administration
  • Experience with health and safety and benefits legislation, theory and practices, in order to resolve complex and sensitive issues
  • Excellent numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication (verbal/written)
  • Ability to build relationships as a trusted partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative to resolve complex and sensitive situations with diplomacy and confidentiality
  • A self-starter with the initiative to learn and grow professionally
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn proprietary software
