Human Resources Coordinator (6-Month Contract), Bathurst, New Brunswick

When you join our team as a Human Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day Human Resources services on-site at Interfor\'s Bathurst Division. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, New Brunswick Operations, the HR Coordinator will build positive relationships across the Bathurst operation and be the first point of contact for Human Resources inquiries.

What You\'ll Do

  • Build trusting relationships with mill leaders to ensure the effective delivery of HR programs and provide expertise to identify and address employee relations items
  • Provide employee relations support and interpret the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Support operational leadership with performance management and disciplinary processes for the unionized workforce
  • Coordinate and accurately maintain all required HR employee documentation for hourly employees including employee files, organization charts and related information
  • Be accessible to all employees by routinely spending time in the mill and following up on concerns and issues as they arise
  • Administer attendance management and leave management programs and ensure compliance. Facilitate Return to Work program
  • Be a subject matter expert on pay rules as well as the timekeeping system to ensure payroll accuracy and support updates to the timekeeping system
  • Administer the internal job posting process for the unionized workforce
  • Collect, analyze, and report on key HR metrics
  • Use discretion and maintain confidentiality when dealing with personal information or business needs.
What You Offer
  • Minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience, preferably in an industrial sector, or formal Human Resources education.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ability to learn new software and use technology for data tracking purposes.
  • Maintain a valid Driver\'s License which allows for travel to site.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to build and manage relationships.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment.
  • High level of energy, drive, initiative, and commitment.
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
