The Role:





We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at our Montreal location, the hub of our Satellite Systems operations. As a trusted advisor to our business leaders, you will leverage your exceptional relationship-building, strategic thinking and results-orientation skills to drive business outcomes and deliver tailored people solutions that enable our organization to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment. In this critical role, you will partner closely with business area leadership, union leadership and the HR teams to navigate complex people-related challenges, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, and drive strategic initiatives that propel our business forward. In this role, you are exceptional at instituting a collaborative approach, leveraging your top notch communication skills to partner closely with members of the business to ensure a smooth and consistent flow of people-related services to divisional leadership and staff in a complex environment.


Job Responsibilities:




Assess short and long-term business needs of the client group and provide both operational and consultative HR guidance and support to client groups Collaborate and work proactively with business leaders to identify key issues impacting operational goals, and offer strategic solutions Provide guidance and assistance to salaried employees and managers on a wide range of human resource issues, including employee relations, conflict resolution, performance and compensation management, employee retention and engagement, workplace accommodations, and employment legislation, HR policies and people programs Building and maintaining a positive and productive relationship with union leadership and representatives Developing and implementing strategies to promote positive labour relations, including joint union-management committees and employee engagement initiatives Interpreting and ensuring compliance with collective agreements, labour laws, and regulations, providing guidance and support to managers on application and interpretation Liaising with union representatives, managing and resolving labour relations issues, including grievances, arbitrations, and collective bargaining Collaborate with MDA's HR team on new initiatives, process implementation and leverage team expertise in planning and delivering functional initiatives to your respective client group Communicate, facilitate, and/or present HR programs and roll-outs at the divisional and site level and work with leaders to develop and retain talent Actively participate in HR project work, such as development of new human resources strategies for the organization as a whole

Candidate Profile:




5+ years of solid, professional-level generalist human resources experience, ideally in a Business Partner role Bilingual requirement - strong written and oral skills Proven experience advising and collaborating with operational business leaders in a consultative capacity and can build trusting relationships quickly Strong union experience Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, or equivalent Experience developing and implementing business solutions in medium to large, complex matrixed environments Solid understanding of applicable employment and human rights legislation in Quebec Proven skills in coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, risk management and relationship management Ability to utilize effective influencing strategies to build respect and partnerships with business leaders Excellent time management and organizational skills, and able to work in an extremely fast paced and high growth environment Strong attention to detail and proven ability to juggle and reprioritize work based on dynamic business demands and requirements Effective and persuasive oral and written communication and presentation skills

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

Evaluer les besoins commerciaux a court et a long terme du groupe client et fournir des conseils et un soutien operationnels et consultatifs en matiere de RH aux groupes clients Collaborer et travailler de maniere proactive avec les chefs d'entreprise afin d'identifier les questions cles ayant une incidence sur les objectifs operationnels et proposer des solutions strategiques Fournir des conseils et une assistance aux employes salaries et aux gestionnaires sur un large eventail de questions relatives aux ressources humaines, y compris les relations avec les employes, la resolution des conflits, la gestion du rendement et de la remuneration, le maintien et l'engagement des employes, les amenagements en milieu de travail, la legislation sur l'emploi, les politiques en matiere de RH et les programmes de ressources humaines Collaborer avec l'equipe RH de MDA sur les nouvelles initiatives, la mise en oeuvre des processus et tirer parti de l'expertise de l'equipe dans la planification et la realisation d'initiatives fonctionnelles pour votre groupe de clients respectif Communiquer, faciliter ou presenter des programmes et des deploiements de RH au niveau de la division et de l'emplacement et travailler avec les dirigeants pour perfectionner et retenir les talents Participer activement a des projets RH, tels que l'elaboration de nouvelles strategies en matiere de ressources humaines pour l'ensemble de l'entreprise

Profil du candidat :




5 ans et plus d'experience approfondie a titre de generaliste des ressources humaines, idealement dans un role de partenaire d'affaires Bilinguisme requis : excellentes competences ecrites et orales Experience averee en matiere de conseil et de collaboration avec les dirigeants operationnels dans une fonction consultative et capacite a etablir rapidement des relations de confiance Experience significative dans le domaine syndical Diplome d'etudes postsecondaires en gestion des ressources humaines ou equivalent Experience de l'elaboration et de la mise en oeuvre de solutions commerciales dans des environnements matriciels complexes de taille moyenne a grande Excellente comprehension de la legislation applicable en matiere d'emploi et de droits de la personne au Quebec Competences averees en matiere d'accompagnement de carriere, de facilitation, de resolution de conflits, de gestion des risques et de gestion des relations Capacite a utiliser des strategies d'influence efficaces pour obtenir le respect des chefs d'entreprise et etablir des partenariats avec eux Excellentes competences en matiere de gestion du temps et d'organisation, et capacite a travailler dans un environnement ou le rythme est extremement rapide et ou la croissance est forte Un grand souci du detail et une capacite averee a concilier et a redefinir les priorites en fonction des demandes et des exigences dynamiques de l'entreprise Competences efficaces et persuasives en matiere de communication orale et ecrite et de presentation
