Job Description

We are in the transportation and warehousing industry, we are currently looking for an HR and Payroll Administrator to join the Human Resources team.

In a working week :



Human resources tasks:



Create and modify job postings and descriptions; Apply a CV screening process and schedule interviews with applicants; Conduct telephone interviews; Do in-person interviews; Present hiring forms, have candidates fill them out and conduct a criminal record search; Enter the new employee's file into our payroll software; Follow-ups with the team and the client on hiring and recruiting; Welcome new employees; Maintain and update employee records, rosters, shared files, company policies and provide general administrative support to the team; Develop strategies for recruiting candidates using various tools and techniques; Follow up on CNESST files; Learn about the various laws related to relevant tasks; Partipate in the creation of new company policies

Payroll tasks:



Prepare, process, and verify the complete payroll while ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations; Obtain, prepare, and verify all documents required for payroll processing; Maintain up-to-date employee records (tracking vacation banks, sick leave, CNESST, Records of Employment, etc.); Respond to payroll-related inquiries, group benefits, including deductions, wage garnishments and employment verifications; Review year-end slips (T4s, RL-1s) and ensure their accuracy; Perform any other related duties as required.

Qualifications:



Payroll experience of at least 1 year; Experience with ADP Workforce Now (Asset) Experience in Year End (Asset) Diploma in a relevant field; Bilingual in French and English (speaking and writing required); Ability to work independently and with a team; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Creative in problem solving; Organized and structured Special attention to detail Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
