About the Role:
As the
Human Resources Administrator
, you will report to the HR Business Partner and serve as the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries. You will play a key role in supporting various HR processes including attendance management, accommodations, investigations, and collective bargaining. Your ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and your knowledge of HR legislation and policy will contribute to the smooth and compliant operation of our HR function.

A Day-to-Day Look at the Role:
Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, offering guidance on HR policy and escalating complex matters when needed
Administer attendance and time-off programs, including medical documentation collection, approvals, and tracking
Manage leave of absence and return-to-work processes, and investigate inactive field staff cases
Coordinate job abandonment and accommodation request processes from initiation to resolution
Support disciplinary processes, investigations, and grievance resolution in partnership with HR leadership
Assist in the collective bargaining process, including scheduling, preparing documentation, and minute-taking
Maintain accurate HR documentation and prepare reports related to time off, employee files, and performance management
Draft HR communications such as letters, policies, proposals, and job descriptions
Stay informed on legislative compliance and HR best practices, offering recommendations as needed
Provide backup support to the HR Coordinator and Receptionist during absences or peak periods
What You Will Need to Succeed:
Evidence of a clear Police Records Search for the Vulnerable Sector (completed within the last 6 months)
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
Ability to interpret legislation, collective agreements, and company policies
Strong computer literacy and administrative skills
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Experience supporting multiple HR functions including employee relations, documentation, and performance management
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset, and we are open to discussing additional compensation for candidates who meet this qualification
