Major Duties

  • ATS Industrial Automation Cambridge is looking for a Human Resource Administrator who will partner with the Solutions Group - Operations to administer the processes related to hiring contractors and drive continuous improvement of the contractor life cycle at ATS. The HR Administrator will thrive in a fast-paced work environment and take initiative in completing tasks. This position is an ideal opportunity for an organized and driven administration professional who will take relentless ownership of the role and who has the desire to make significant contributions to the growth of ATS Industrial Automation team.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Lead for Administrative set up of new Contractor Suppliers for ATS Industrial Automation
  • Manage the workflow and execution of all confidential documentation required for Supplier set up
  • Liaison with ATS Legal to ensure supplier documentation is compliant
  • Ensure renewals of supplier documentation including Master Technical Service Agreement, Non- Disclosure Agreement, WHMIS and insurance certificates are up to date
  • Responsible for the set-up contractors, Coops and Full-time employees within our HRIS System
  • Liaison between internal customers/divisions regarding third party training and Contractor Suppliers
  • Onboarding support of new Contractors
  • Initiate User.Access.Request.Form (UARF) for Contractors
  • Develop and support open communication throughout all Cambridge departments & other North American locations as needed
  • Complete time & attendance corrections for contractors
  • Provide support with contractor amendments to extend term when needed
  • Participate in continuous improvement opportunities to streamline and improve Service processes
  • Assist with job descriptions for internal and external recruitment
  • Maintain HR related Job descriptions and documentation within our BQMS system
  • Manage, update, and track contractor information in the IA Contractor Tracker
  • Maintain electronic data filing systems, ensuring that data is organized, and safely stored and extraneous files have been removed
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
  • Other HR duties as assigned
Health and Safety

Non-Management: All employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health, safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner.

Employee responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:
  • Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tag out methods
  • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
  • Report defect in any equipment or protective device
  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
  • Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
  • Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
Qualifications

Education:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in human resources administration related discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years\' experience in HR business administration
  • Human Resource experience preferred
  • Expertise in Office 365 Word, Excel, Planner and PowerPoint
  • Experience driving process continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills is an asset - seeking to understand through active listening is essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team but effectively work independently
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and the ability to prioritize work effectively
