Position: Finance and HR Administrator Location: Whitehorse, Yukon Salary Range: $25 Travel: None required Term: Full time, permanent ColdAcre is a new start-up whose mission is to provide community-driven, reliable, fresh food in the North. We design, build, operate and distribute year-round growing solutions which have been deployed into Yukon, NWT and northern Manitoba. Our farm located in Whitehorse, Yukon produces leafy green, herbs and microgreens throughout the year, providing over 800 lbs of fresh food a week for our community! We are continually expanding and searching for a hard working, smart and motivated financial administrator to join our team. ColdAcre values work ethic, attitude and problem solving abilities over work experience and will review every applicant on a case by case basis. Summary of Roles and Responsibilities: The Finance and HR Administrator will play a key role in keeping our day to day financial, human resource, and office administration tasks running smoothly. In this role, your attention to detail, process orientation and creative writing skills will be valued and expanded. Work will involve a mixture of preparing reports, implementing administrative procedures, and maintaining company finance records. The Financial Administrator will:
  • Work with our Finance Controller to ensure proper financial reporting and information aggregation for funding, payroll, and financial records.
  • Scan receipts and bills, input into Quickbooks
  • Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Identify funding opportunities and write funding applications
  • Coordinate HR processes
Those interested in this position will:
  • Have some proficiency with basic bookkeeping tasks, or a willingness to learn
  • Possess excellent writing skills
  • Be adapt at creative problem solving
