House Manager

Toronto, ON, CA, Canada

Job Description

We're looking for resourceful, organized individuals to become

House Managers

for busy families.

A House Manager is the person who keeps a household running smoothly -- part organizer, part problem-solver, part logistics pro. They handle the behind-the-scenes details that make everyday life easier: scheduling appointments, coordinating vendors, running errands, stocking supplies, or simply keeping the home calm and on track.

You don't need prior "house manager" experience to apply -- many successful candidates come from backgrounds in childcare, hospitality, personal assistance, or administration. If you're someone who thrives on managing details, creating order, and taking initiative, this role could be your next step.

Every family's needs are different, and so are your strengths. You tell us what you love to do (and what you don't), and we use smart matching to pair you with families who need exactly your kind of help.

Typical responsibilities may include:

Household Operations

Coordinate maintenance & vendors:

Schedule and oversee service providers (cleaners, plumbers, electricians, landscapers).

Organize & stock:

Maintain inventory of groceries, household supplies and toiletries; organize closets, pantries and storage.

Manage budgets:

Track household expenses, pay bills and reconcile receipts.

Support the household during

life events

such as moving, welcoming a new baby, or recovering from illness.
Scheduling & Administration

Family calendar management:

Track appointments, school schedules, activities and social events; set reminders.

Vendor liaison:

Communicate with and supervise contractors, tutors and other household staff.

Travel & events:

Plan family trips (book flights, pack/unpack) and occasional events or parties.
Errands & Logistics

Run errands:

Grocery shopping, pharmacy runs, dry cleaning, returns and pickup/drop?off tasks.

Light housekeeping:

Tidy rooms, load/unload dishes, handle laundry and basic meal prep.

Pet & plant care:

Feed pets, coordinate vet visits, water plants.
Optional Family Support

Provide occasional childcare help (school pick?ups/drop?offs, homework supervision). Assist elders or family members with errands, appointments or administrative tasks.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We welcome applicants with varied experience, especially in:

Childcare & nannying:

You're comfortable managing routines and household chores simultaneously.

Hospitality & event management:

Your attention to detail and customer service translate perfectly to running a home.

Executive & personal assistants:

You're used to juggling schedules, travel bookings, vendor communication and confidential tasks.

Professional organizing, housekeeping or cleaning:

You understand how to keep spaces functional and clutter?free.

Core skills:

Exceptional attention to detail.

You notice the little things others miss--and you take pride in making everything run flawlessly.

Exceptionally organized and adaptable.

You can juggle multiple moving parts without dropping a single one.

Clear and confident communicator.

You keep everyone--families, vendors, and teammates--in sync and informed.

Discreet and trustworthy.

You're the person people can hand their house keys (and their peace of mind) to.

Tech-savvy and modern.

Comfortable with apps, smart devices, and online tools that keep households running smoothly.

Independent and proactive.

You don't wait to be told what's next--you anticipate needs before anyone asks.
