Job Description






The Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course of REAL ESTATE PROPERTY LAW (221-002-LA)

This course is designed to introduce students to the different elements of Quebec Civil Law applicable to Real Estate Brokerage, including property law. Students will learn to identify the main rules of Quebec Civil Law applicable to persons, goods, property, contracts, and Civil Liability. They will also learn to identify the main legal rules of ownership and inform clients on the issues, which may affect real estate transactions. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of professional aptitudes and attitudes that are indispensable to be successful as a Real Estate Broker including honesty, ethics and an awareness of the consequences of one\xe2\x80\x99s actions. Students will be trained on the importance of individual resourcefulness, punctuality, insight, communication skills, and being a self-starter.
Required Qualifications : Must have a thorough knowledge of Quebec Civil Law applicable to Real Estate Brokerage. Must have a bachelor\'s degree in a related field and be a licensed Lawyer or Notary in Quebec. This course is taught in English; excellent communication skills in English are required. Teaching experience within a similar program is an asset.

Comments : This course is delivered with a hybrid delivery model: 12 course hours will be given in-person and 48 course hours will be delivered online/at distance.
The specific in-person dates will be determined in collaboration with the hired instructor.

The schedule and course dates may change based on the needs of the program and subject to enrollment.

Courses are taught in English. The selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
