REPORTS TO: General Manager/Floor ManagersPosition Purpose:

• As the very first touchpoint for customers at a restaurant, the host's duties would be to provide warm, friendly greetings to the customers as they walk through the door.
• Hosts are responsible for setting the "flow" of the restaurant by greeting and guiding guests and ensuring a welcoming experience for everyone.
• Hosts are responsible for engaging with guests, answering telephones, taking reservations, making phone calls, etc.
• Clearing and sanitizing tables as needed, helping out the servers and bartenders.
• Planning and organizing the seating for the evenings
• Other duties as needed

Qualification requirements and Job Function:

• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Work or school equivalent experience in hospitality and customer service
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Upbeat and personable demeanor
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Following health and safety guidelines as directed by the managers
• General understanding of the restaurant, pub, and hospitality industry
• A good working knowledge of current applicable liquor laws
• Punctual, reliable and professional
• Encourage and uphold a safe work environment while adhering to company policy around bullying and harassment
