LinkedKey is an enrichment and enhancement after-school program in the GTA. Currently, we have four locations: our headquarters in Mississauga, as well as locations in North York, Markham and Montreal. We provide training programs in Communication, STEM, and Standard Test & College Prep to prepare students to impact and lead tomorrow's world.
In the Communication category, courses include Debate, Model United Nations, Public Speaking, Mock Trial, DECA, English Literature, and Essay Writing.
Our STEM category offers courses such as Math Contests for grades 4-12, Math Curriculum for grades 9-12, Science for grades 9-10, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Programming.
In the Standard Test & College Prep category, courses include SSAT, SAT, IB Courses, and AP Courses.
We encourage students to compete in various competitions and contests in Canada, US and around the globe.
Role Description
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable
HOSA Instructor
to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health sciences, public health, or biomedical fields and a deep understanding of HOSA competition events and preparation strategies. The instructor will coach students through written, team-based, and skill events to help them excel in HOSA Canada and HOSA International Leadership Conferences.
Teaching will take place at
Mississauga Campus, North York Campus or Markham Campus.
LinkedKey sincerely invites experienced HOSA teachers to join us for the long term. Based on teaching performance, the position can be converted to a full-time teacher.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging lessons that prepare students for HOSA competitive events.
Teach foundational concepts in healthcare, medical terminology, biomedical sciences, and health professions.
Guide students in team projects, research events, and medical skill-based competitions.
Provide individual coaching and constructive feedback to enhance performance.
Maintain consistency in teaching quality through collaboration with the academic team.
Support and accompany students in HOSA regional, national, and international competitions when applicable.
Qualifications
Must have attended middle or high school in Canada and be familiar with the Ontario curriculum.
Experience with HOSA (as a competitor, coach, or judge) is highly preferred.
Educational background in Health Science, Biology, Nursing, Pre-Med, or a related field.
Strong communication, mentorship, and leadership skills.
Passionate about inspiring students in the fields of healthcare and science.
Prior teaching, tutoring, or coaching experience is an asset.
As an instructor, you will be responsible for running classes and coaching students on the HOSA competitions. In addition, you are expected to do some admin work for the class such as developing curriculum, assigning appropriate homework, and organizing competitions.
