Job Description

Pilates Instructor Recruitment Notice - Markham Pilates Studio

Markham Pilates Studio is expanding due to a high volume of class inquiries and is seeking dedicated instructors to join our team. We prefer instructors who can teach both group and private sessions but also welcome those specializing in group sessions only. For group sessions, proficiency in both the Reformer and Chair apparatus is required.

Key Requirements:

Pilates Instructor Certification

: Must hold a valid certification. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience required.*

Professional Communication

: Must stay updated with studio policies and instructor procedures.

Openness to Feedback

: Must be receptive to constructive feedback and committed to continuous learning and growth.

Professional Attitude

: Must maintain a neat appearance and conduct oneself professionally.

Evidence-Based Approach

: Must apply evidence-based methods in teaching, rehabilitation, and corrective exercise.

Essential Skills

: Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Knowledge of Anatomy

: Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology.

Language Skills

: English proficiency required; Mandarin/Cantonese proficiency is an asset.

Classroom Tidiness

: Must tidy up equipment and the classroom after each session.

SIN Number

: Must have a valid SIN number.
Additional Information:

Employment Type

: Full-time or Part-time

Compensation

: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour (based on experience)

Expected Hours

: 6 - 40 hours per week

Training

: Additional training will be provided if needed.

Preference

: Instructors who can also conduct private and duet sessions are preferred.
