Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves working closely with clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe environment Assist clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary Support clients with dementia care or other cognitive impairments through engaging activities Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or senior care settings is preferred Knowledge of caregiving techniques, including hospice care and working with individuals with disabilities Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility support Familiarity with meal preparation and medication administration protocols A compassionate nature and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
