Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled

Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic

for our shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment in our shop including loaders, excavators, dozers, and other construction, and industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime. Keep accurate records of work orders, parts used, and time spent. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment. Collaborate with the service team to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic (Red Seal preferred). Minimum 3 years of experience working on heavy equipment (shop environment is an asset). Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to workplace safety and compliance. Valid driver's license. Machinist work
