Job Description

Mansour Logistics, a division of the Mansour Group, provides mechanical expertise in the skilled trades by employing mechanics, millwrights, welders and electricians to perform repairs and maintenance for its customers in the mining and construction industry. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Mansour Logistics Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

The ideal candidate will have experience with both heavy machinery and rail-specific equipment and will be comfortable working in dynamic environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Conducting safe and efficient investigations and diagnostic tests on a wide range of heavy equipment to identify issues, taking swift corrective action to minimize downtime and production disruptions. Maintain and repair heavy-duty construction and rail-related machinery (e.g., tampers, ballast regulators, hydraulic excavators, Volvo graders/loaders, Hitachi excavators, Cat loaders and backhoes, Bobcat's etc.). Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brake systems, and electrical components. Completing work orders and maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities. Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and company standards. Collaborating with other team members to ensure the overall success of the maintenance department. Ensure all equipment is safe and compliant with FRA, OSHA, and company safety policies.

Qualifications:

Valid 421A License preferred. 5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (rail-specific experience considered an asset). Strong diagnostic skills with diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills. Willingness to stay updated on industry advancements and technology. Must be able to provide a clean drivers abstract, criminal background check and successfully pass a drug and alcohol test.
