Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing various types of heavy machinery, including paving equipment and industrial machinery. This role requires proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety of all equipment. A commitment to customer service and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential. Will be required to travel throughout the summer months based on continuously changing job locations.

Duties

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in heavy equipment, including paving machinery, trucks, trailers and other industrial equipment. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on various types of heavy machinery. Assemble and disassemble equipment as needed for repairs or upgrades. Utilize power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records of all service work performed on equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with the role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
