Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to foster a safety-oriented culture, managing health and safety policies, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with various departments to address risks.Whatxe2x80x99s In It For You?xc2xb7 Comprehensive Benefitsxc2xb7 RRSP Matchingxc2xb7 Opportunity to work for a growing companyWhat Youxe2x80x99ll Be Responsible For:xc2xb7 Leading comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential workplace hazards.xc2xb7 Implementing risk management strategies and controls to minimize accidents.xc2xb7 Employing task-based risk assessments to address ongoing hazards via the hierarchy of controls.xc2xb7 Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of risk management initiatives.xc2xb7 Creating, reviewing, and updating health and safety policies in compliance with regulations.xc2xb7 Ensuring effective communication of policies to all employees and adherence to them.xc2xb7 Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards across Canadian and US locations.xc2xb7 Preparing and submitting required reports to regulatory agencies.xc2xb7 Conducting audits and inspections to ensure compliance and address issues.xc2xb7 Developing and delivering training programs on health and safety practices.xc2xb7 Participating in cross-functional investigations of workplace incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.xc2xb7 Developing and implementing emergency response plans and procedures.xc2xb7 Conducting drills and simulations to ensure emergency readiness.xc2xb7 Acting as a liaison between management, employees, and regulatory agencies on health and safety issues.xc2xb7 Adopting a safety-focused approach by collaborating on prevention through design and PSSR programs.The Ideal Candidate:xc2xb7 Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Operations Management, Human Resources, Business, or Kinesiology, preferred.xc2xb7 Occupational Health and Safety Certification.xc2xb7 5+ years of experience in health and safety risk management, demonstrating success in developing and implementing safety programs while ensuring compliance.xc2xb7 Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations in both Canada and the USA.xc2xb7 Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Regulations, and HACCP.xc2xb7 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.xc2xb7 A confident presence with business acumen and effective presentation skills.xc2xb7 Proficient in developing and implementing best practices, strategies, and company vision.Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative management style, and the ability to provide clear direction.xc2xb7 Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with all employee groups.Complimentary Experience:xc2xb7 Experience in the manufacturing or production industry would be considered an asset.If you have the qualifications and are interested in applying for this position, please forward a copy of your resume to .Logic Executive Search and Workplace Solutions is committed to providing accessible employment practices that follow the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
