As a Health and Safety Advisor working a 5x2 shift in Timmins, ON, youll be a key partner in driving a proactive, engaged safety culture across the branch. Youll work closely with employees, supervisors, and leaders to promote safe work practices, lead inspections, and deliver hands-on training that keeps people informed, protected, and empowered.

Your Role
Health, Safety & Environment Initiatives

• Partner with employees and leaders to identify and mitigate workplace safety and environmental hazards
• Implement and support safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
• Conduct inspections, participate in audits, and maintain accurate safety documentation
• Collaborate with supervisors to resolve safety concerns and follow up on corrective actions
• Support monthly safety committee meetings and lead initiatives that promote continuous improvement

Training & Development

• Develop and deliver safety training programs, workshops, and seminars
• Work with external consultants and internal resources to update and improve training content
• Ensure employees receive proper training to maintain competency in their roles
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and shared responsibility

What You Bring

• A Health & Safety diploma with 3 years of OHSE experience in construction or mining environment
• Previous experience guiding teams and overseeing safety initiatives.
• Previous experience delivering training to adult learners
• Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with all levels of the organization
• Knowledge of adult learning principles
• Self-motivated, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bilingual in English and French is an asset
