Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Health and Safety Advisor on a permanent basis on our Energy and Ag team. This position requires on-site work and is based in Belle Plaine, SK.

Are you looking to elevate your career in health and safety? Our Co-op Ethanol Complex has made a significant economic impact in southern Saskatchewan by providing renewable low carbon fuel, and we are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team!

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

• Ensure all plant/facility inspections are being completed, conduct site audits, assist in onsite inspections ensuring safety standards are being met and enforced consistently.
• Assist team leaders and OHC members through accident investigation or incidents to discover route causes, identify corrective actions, and prepare subsequent reports and recommendations.
• Lead the review, revision, and implementation of the CEC safety manual. Evaluate current practices and procedures at the facility to assess risk and adherence to legislation and present recommendations to CEC team leaders.
• Identify health and safety training requirements and deliver required safety training for employees and contractors, as well as safety orientations.

You will work independently, with the guidance and support of the Director, Co-op Ethanol complex. This facility strives to cultivate a culture of safety, reliability, and efficiency.

We help grow Western Canadian communities through our commitment to purchase local grain and starch inputs to produce ethanol and dried distillers grain (DDG). We use the ethanol to support a lower carbon economy in Western Canada.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) & Sustainability and:

• Have a 6 \xe2\x80\x93 9 years of relevant progressively responsible experience in health and safety, with exposure to leadership.
• Have a two-year diploma (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Having the following designations is an asset:
• National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO)
• Canadian Registered Safety Professional Certificate (CRSP)
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC)
• Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (OHS)
