The Head, Patient Support Services (PSS) is accountable for the development and implementation of a consistent strategy for Sanofi Specialty Care Canada patient programs offered across our portfolio.

The Head PSS will be responsible for developing Sanofi SPC Strategic Short and Long Term Plan based on external and internal benchmarks to define the best business model for SPC to become a best in class offer, ensuring scale-up planning and PSS launch excellence for SPC pipeline.

The Head, PSS will ensure a continued focus on innovation, efficiency, and optimal patient support.

The head PSS will have to develop the Sanofi SPC PSS strategy in a very complex environment as well as lead its operationalization managing successfully different third-party vendors.

S/he will manage the Patient, Support and Services Leads team to deliver the highest standards of services, support, and care while meeting or exceeding patient and HCP expectations.

S/he will ensure sharing of best practices, audit readiness, SOP compliance, and cost effectiveness implementation across franchises/products.

S/he will also be accountable for partnering with local cross-functional stakeholders in commercial, medical and centralized functions to establish best ways of working, identify best practices and new capabilities (e.g. digital) across all PSS, evolve partnerships with multiple vendors, and generate insights to inform strategy development.

In addition, s/he will be accountable for partnering globally to represent the needs of Canada within the global PSS framework, leverage best practices from other regions that can be applied to drive PSS strategy and innovation in Canada The Head, PSS will also represent Canada on Global teams that may impact regional PSS strategy

Finally, as the PSS leader, he / she will lead a team of individuals and strive to ensure an inclusive and diverse culture as well as develop and coach talents.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for developing the best PSS strategy for each of SPC products in strong partnership with the franchises leads.

Guaranty PSS operational excellence across a portfolio of patient support programs and customer interactions in Canada

Work collaboratively with franchise and cross-functional stakeholders (locally and globally) to develop programs and processes that will allow the company to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the PSS

Understand the changing market dynamics that present opportunities or challenges and provide recommendations across all therapeutic areas

Identify opportunities to generate insights and utilize process improvement methodologies to improve the PSS experience throughout the customer journey, at all touchpoints.

Collaborate with local and global cross-functional stakeholders to develop an annual strategic plan and roadmap for the Sanofi SPC patient programs.

Develops a strong, cohesive team and ensure talent management for each member of the team

Constructs an environment of learning and development to build centralized PSS capabilities, establish best practices, and evolve the talent for the future

Works closely with Legal, Compliance, Medical, PV, with both local and global stakeholders and his/her team to ensure that all Sanofi SPC patient programs maintain the highest level of ethics and compliance with all relevant SOPs in alignment with the requirements

Accountable for partnering on the identification and implementation of strong patient program metrics or key performance indicators, to ensure our patient program vendors are delivering at the high standard that Sanofi requires.

Accountable for leading the PSS team to implement vendor management best practices to create and maintain strong partnerships and optimize PSS budgets

Ensure all training requirements of the program such as PV/AE, product and program are met as required by our PSP SOP for programs

Support PSS Leads to negotiate new contracts and renewals that regulate and enforce high performance standards among our vendor partners, and supervise the vendor review and selection

Work closely with Finance partner to adhere to financial and business goals as well as overall financial management of the PSS department

Partner with analytics team to provide strategic insights and identify opportunities to improve PSS design and performance

Represent PSS Function on the Canadian Leadership Team and at key Global stakeholder meetings

Qualifications and Experience:

Bilingual (English/French) a strong asset.

10-15 years professional experience in pharma commercial roles (Marketing/Sales) with proven experience of PSP/Vendor management.

Proven experience in pharma companies (P&L roles) and vendor would be a strong asset

Ability to set overall strategy short & long term \xe2\x80\x93 and to operationalize it thru strong leadership skills

In-Depth knowledge of the various specialty product distribution and service company business models

Minimum of 5 years of People management experience - Proven record of successful team leadership with increasing responsibilities

Demonstrated experience leading complex, sensitive, cross-functional change management initiative with global and local stakeholders (external & internal)

Strong strategic thinking, analytical, financial, and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate and gain alignment with multiple internal and external stakeholders to develop, execute, and monitor programs

Strong ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Canadian pharmaceutical experience managing patient support programs

Strong passion, patient focus and results orientation.

Experience with biologic self-injectable and/or infused products an asset.

Strong anticipatory and reactive problem-solving skills.

Minimal travel expectations (maximum 10% of time).
