Patient Support Program (PSP) and Portfolio Manager, Specialty Business

Description

As a valuable member of the Canadian Commercial Team, you will be responsible for the development of strategic and tactical initiatives aimed at increasing product revenue, profitability and market share of our Specialty Portfolio. You will use your years of pharmaceutical specialty marketing and PSP experience to manage the lifecycle of Taro\'s existing and future specialty products, while developing service offerings of distinction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • With support from the Head of Specialty develop product/category strategies through insightful interpretation of market research, competitive intelligence and overall industry knowledge.
  • Establish basis of segmentation, quantifying and establishing segment needs.
  • Lead the design, implementation, continuous improvement and performance monitoring of a comprehensive Patient Support Program(s) that will deliver on our customer experience standards.
  • Manage PSP and preferred specialty pharmacy vendor relationships to ensure key performance metrics (KPIs) are met.
  • Play an active role in C-Suite and high impact customer selling activity.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training to field staff on PSP services and products.
  • Collaborate with vendor to build data collection platform and analytical reports to provide real-time market insights as well as payer-specific reporting tools.
  • Identify and address training, performance, and competency needs of vendor to ensure achievement of business objectives.
  • Continuously assess performance and program delivery against business needs. Identify external and internal factors impacting performance and develop a plan to address them
  • Collaborate with Commercial partners to create patient services brand concept and value proposition through market research.
  • Ensure all patient services and specialty pharmacy services are compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidance\'s with COMPANY\'s policies and procedures.
  • Manage complete lifecycle of product portfolio, including pre-launch activity, product launches, pricing, sku optimization, market share and penetration targets through to product discontinuation
  • Manage the intake of competitive and industry intelligence to identify risks and opportunities that exist within existing portfolio and future pipeline
  • In collaboration with the Sales, Operations, Business Analytics and Finance , set annual sales objectives, promotional allowances and profitability objectives to establish agreed upon growth and market share targets within budget
  • Active participation in all supply discussions to ensure appropriate levels of supply and distribution are attained
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 5 years of PSP and marketing experience in specialty pharmaceuticals
  • Outstanding customer relationship, interpersonal, and communication skills with the established ability to effectively work with diverse audiences and influence cross functionally
  • Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to effectively analyze data to determine trends and inform strategy
  • Knowledge and experience with specialty pharmaceutical distribution, including PPNs
  • Knowledge and experience with reimbursement navigation for both public and private plans
  • Bachelor\'s Degree required
