What will your typical day look like?

As part of Deloitte's in-house agency, the Head of Strategy, Market Intelligence will report to the Agency Director and be an active part of the Agency leadership team with Creative, Digital, PR, Analytics and Creative Programming. This role will collaborate across disciplines and partner closely with marketers on portfolio campaign objectives.

About the team

It's probably safe to say no two days will look the same as no two business problems are the same. This role will be one that observes, listens, asks questions, and research to develop a hypothesis and strategy. You'll work with Analytics to analyze performance, patterns, and insights. Collaborate with other agency team members to conceptualize ideas, creating alignment on overarching business objectives. Provide inspiration and ideas to creative teams as they begin the creative development process; act as a partner and sounding board to help spark innovation during conversations with marketers.

Curiosity is key here and a genuine love of problem solving. Understanding when and where to pull levers and knowing how to direct resources or tactics to deliver a more efficient outcome than our competitors is critical. It's identifying the problem, finding the opportunity to fix it and then delivering killer insights and a measurable plan for the team to execute on.

You are someone with:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with a focus on strategy and planning integrated marketing campaigns at an agency or in-house agency
  • Degree in Marketing, communications, or related field
  • Persuasive communicator and presenter. Ability to influence at the executive level and act as a trusted advisor to both the marketers and the business
  • Proven experience leveraging marketing intelligence derived from competitive landscaping, client feedback, data analysis, and audience research to unearth insights to connect with audiences & drive results
  • Experience in providing strategic direction to inspire creative solutions that deliver on business objectives- working with creative, editorial, social, PR and digital teams
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills
  • Highly self-motivated, thrive in a collaborative environment, and work well within a team, both in-person and virtually
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple clients and projects.
  • Desire to help build a culture inside the agency and with the client that is focused on using data to drive creative and executional innovation
  • A genuinely curious and inquisitive mind that is in tune with what's happening in marketing, creative, communications, popular culture, business trends and how Canada factors into all of this
