In detail

In order to support the delivery of the Growth, Technology, and Sustainability (GTS) plan for the Americas and centralize core corporate functions, the Bank has created a new department, Enterprise Services (ES).

Enterprise Services team encompasses Premises, Enterprise Data Management Solutions, Group Strategic Sourcing, Third Party Management Office and Location Strategy for CIB Americas. ES aims at re-in forcing and elevating three strategic mandates for the Bank:

  • The articulation of a long-term Workspace Strategy to support the implementation of Smart Working and the Americas Location Strategy
  • The development of a strategic posture on Global Strategic Sourcing
  • The development and strengthening of an integrated Data Management platform and associated services
The candidate will report locally to the Canada Head of Enterprise Services and regionally to the BNPP CIB NAR head of Location Strategy.

The Location Strategy team has 2 mandates:
  • To provide a full service of capabilities aiming at centralizing all Organizational and footprint initiatives (Smart sourcing, Organizational efficiencies such as TOM definition,..) into one single organization to fully optimize headcount & organizational efficiencies within Americas. This first mandate is articulated around 4 pillars
  • Shape the operating model vision for CIB Americas, employing an agile structure
  • Support each department in assessing if any footprint or organizational Capabilities are eligible
  • Execute initiatives with key experts while ensuring potential risks are identified and addressed through a combined framework and governance
  • Act as single and centralized point of contact to report consistent data related to NAR footprint and efficiencies (HC & Financials)
  • To provide support to the whole ES organization on process improvement, monitoring of all initiatives and savings as well as reporting to both regional and local management in line with Ambition 2025. The main objective is to contribute to the execution of the CIB Americas strategy and to manage optimization projects across the ES organization in different locations. Wil ensure the success of the creation of the ES market place.
Responsibilities
  • Management of resources located in Canada to deliver services to the regional platform
  • In close cooperation with the NAR head of the Location Strategy team, drives the Delivery center strategy as part of BNP Paribas ambition
  • Is considered as main point of contact for the Canadian platform with the different stakeholders involved (Management, HR, Premises, Finance, and other vertical functions) for all Transformations related to Organizational changes
  • Builds strategic partner relationships in the region and with peers from other region to support successful delivery of Location Strategy / TOM projects and strengthen our position in the market
  • Establishes strong project governance an consulting practices
  • Acts as the unique and centralized point of contact for any Location Strategy execution topics to support BNP Paribas group and the Region
  • Works with BNP Paribas peers across the globe and builds strong relationships with them
  • Manage Transformation Projects and Process improvement covering the following activities :
  • Process assessment of identified areas in all departments, including identification of scope, roadmap, business case and risk assessment
  • Work closely with sponsors, functions and all impacted teams to define best strategies and challenge them in terms of operating model, methodology, governance and planning
  • Organize and lead Project and Steering Committees, including documentation and preparation meetings
  • Produce project reports; request, collect, analyze, query, verify consistency and completeness and integrate weekly status reports from project work streams
  • Monitor projects deliverables, timeline, risks and dependencies with project managers to ensure the completeness and adequacy of deliverables
  • Monitor and report changes vs. initial target, analyze variances, report on actual vs. budget using available project management tools while ensuring alignment with Finance ((HC, Savings & Transformation costs)
  • Ensure that the Market Place, made available to all our stakeholders, is up to date
  • Interaction with the global teams / management to provide progress compared to initial achievement and issues escalation
  • Develop and infuse expertise in smart-sourcing & TOM methodology
  • Be a referent to methodology, ensuring locally training and best practices sharing across the Americas platform
  • Ensure that the same methodology, approach and governance is applied across the different domains
Qualifications

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
  • Key requirements are strong communication - in both English and French - and negotiation skills, leadership skills and analytical skills
  • 10 years of experience in either project management or management consulting for company with a global footprint in a multicultural environment
  • 3 years of Management experience
  • Collaborative Team player and client focus
  • Strong work ethics and ability to work with confidential information
  • Managerial and interpersonal skills to successfully manage a team of professionals and liaise with various internal and external groups/ individuals
  • Ability to analyze complex situations in a timely and effective manner
  • Critical thinking to assist in solving issues
  • Proven experience in providing Delivery/Program Management leadership in a global structure
  • Experience in the definition of a framework and governance which ensure comprehensive risk management & regulatory compliance to ensure strong controls are in place to mitigate potential risk of near/offshoring activities
  • Deep knowledge of Smartsourcing & TOM practices
  • Knowledge of delivery center hubs/locations leveraged by BNP Paribas to develop their location strategy / optimize their footprint
  • Being able to coordinate within a global organization with peers located all around the world
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Interest / competences in other technology solutions (e.g. Power BI)
  • Experience with significant budget oversight and cost optimization
  • High facility to quickly adapt to new situations and ability to work with remotely located resources
  • Ability to go beyond existing frameworks by suggesting new ideas which are suitable for clients and/or the organization
  • BA or MS in engineering, finance, business or related discipline coupled with excellent academic credentials
