We are presently recruiting for a Head of Marketing, Allergan Aesthetics based in Markham, Ontario. (hybrid). This full-time position reports into the General Manager, Allergan Aesthetics Canada

As part of AA the head of Marketing will be an active contributor to building our vision of empowering confidence for our customers, patients and employees.

The Head of Marketing, Allergan Aesthetics is responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies and programs that support the implementation of the commercial strategy and optimize business results. This position is also responsible for developing plans in collaboration with various stakeholders to uniquely position products and services.

The incumbent will lead a team of Portfolio Leads, Sr Product Managers, and a cross functional matrix team to drive strategy, operational excellence and brand success. This is a senior level position within the commercial organization and the successful individual play a critical role on the Allergan Aesthetics Leadership team. The incumbent will also have a very active role liaising with International Strategic Marketing to align on plans and activities. The candidate will need strong leadership and communication skills and have significant marketing experience. This is a highly rewarding role for somebody to lead key brands and help shape the future of the Allergan Aesthetics Canadian Affiliate.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the champion of our customers and consumers, continually working to Better understand and deliver on their needs and identify opportunities for Partnership.
  • Lead the development of the Canadian AA Brand Strategy and Tactical deployment including the development of robust, strategic plans for all brands within the Franchise.
  • Support the development of the large marketing team to build Marketing capability to support business growth and to deliver excellence in marketing strategy and commercial competitiveness.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for marketing functions, including product management, market research, digital marketing, new launch planning and implementation.
  • Lead the development and implementation of annual marketing plans, campaigns and tactics to maximize product performance; coordinate with HQ marketing teams to understand and adapt global plans for local audiences.
  • Lead development and management of marketing budget, including overhead, market research and advertising, promotion and long-range growth plans for AA Canada.
  • Champion the development of customer and consumer strategies that ensures a strong reputation, high visibility and commercial competitiveness.
  • Oversee relationships with advertising agencies, public relation firms and market research vendors used to promote Allergan Medical Aesthetics products in Canada.
  • Provide valuable input into the evaluation and recommendation for Go/No Go decision on pipeline product; Build short to long term strategy integrating existing portfolio brands and future launches.
  • Lead cross-functional new product planning process for launch opportunities in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Interface with Medical, Regulatory, compliance and Legal to develop marketing materials and campaigns framework in country; ensure compliance with company policies as well as legal and regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with International Strategic Marketing (ISM) and WEC counterparts to co-create solutions to ensure they reflect Canadian Strategic Priorities and local regulations.
  • Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and academia, in support of our brand objectives.
Skills:
  • Experience and Demonstrated Excellence in Managing Key Brand portfolios at a country level with P&L and forecasting experience.
  • Experience at strategic roles (region, international) would be a plus.
  • Experience in B2B and B2C environments supporting consumer and HCP strategies in a synergic way.
  • Committed, Credible and enthusiastic with an action-oriented approach and sound current knowledge of the local country healthcare marketplace.
  • Strategic thinking, multi-tasking with a high level of organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders and opinion leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and an ability to think and plan strategically (work plans, activities, timelines, targeting) and operate with executional excellence.
  • Proven track record of taking in diverse data and perspectives in the development of insights-based strategies focused on doing what is right for the customer, the team, and the business.
  • Analytical mindset, consistently measuring and optimizing return on Marketing spend, while demonstrating strong budget management skills.
  • Excels in fast paced and dynamic environment, calm under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BacheloraAEURA(TM)s degree BA/ BSc or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and sales.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical management experience.
  • Deep understanding of the Canadian marketplace.
  • Proven experience in leading people and building high performance teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing commercial fundamentals within a team, function or organization.
  • A proven strategic thinker, who can translate strategy into practical, competitive and executable business plans.
  • Basic financial acumen, knowledge of P&L and finance pertaining to marketing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Bilingualism (French / English)
