Head Of Marketing

Shakepay\'s growth to date has come primarily from the word-of-mouth of our amazing community of shakers, aka \xe2\x80\x9ccustomers,\xe2\x80\x9d who are as passionate about the brand as they are about bitcoin. Now that we\'ve reached over 1,000,000 customers, we need your help to get our next million, and the next million after that, and by then we\'ll probably have to start looking under rocks to find people who haven\'t heard of us-but we\'re game for it if you are.

We\'re looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to help turn Shakepay into a household name. You\'ll lead and grow our internal Marketing organization, which includes our Community and Creative teams. You\'ll report directly to our CEO and have the support, budget and resources you need to shape our processes, strategies, and the future of the Shakepay brand.

You will:

• Own the build-out of a comprehensive marketing strategy that will help Shakepay become a household name in Canada
• Lead the team responsible for delivering against that strategy, playing a player-coach role to manage others while still staying hands-on yourself
• Work closely with Product, Design, Engineering and Data teams on a variety of initiatives to bring new products, features, and services to market
• Establish the core processes that will underpin your marketing strategy for Shakepay
• Ensure that our Community and Creative teams work coherently to achieve common goals
• Be accountable for the success of a variety of key marketing initiatives including social media/community campaigns, product launches, PR campaigns, and regulatory/government education - some of the key metrics that you will own and drive are top-line user base growth, referral rate, CAC and NPS.

Must have:

• A proven track record of building and leading consumer-facing Marketing teams, ideally in the Mobile space
• Experience successfully delivering an end-to-end marketing strategy on both paid and organic channels. This will include branding, performance marketing, community, and partnerships.
• Experience managing, growing and inspiring a team of creatives and marketing professionals
• Fluency with growth marketing concepts such as CPA, CAC, LTV and an understanding of how each one impacts growth; an understanding of growth loops vs. funnels
• Entrepreneurial spirit - we are doers, not talkers!
• Ability to work with minimal guidance, be proactive and handle ambiguity and the challenges of a dynamic startup environment

Nice to have:

• Previous experience growing a mobile game or community app
• Previous experience at a fast-growing startup or other high performance environment
• An understanding of consumer behavior trends
• Familiarity with the Bitcoin landscape, an understanding of what drives consumer adoption and deep empathy for the problems Bitcoin addresses
