Family Meats 2018 Ltd, located in Ponoka, AB, is a HACCP/GMP certified wholesale meat producer, with an on-site kill floor, processing approximately 15 beef carcasses and 300 pork carcasses per week. Our vision is to remain the largest provincially inspected wholesale producer in the Alberta beef and pork industries by focusing on high standards of health, safety, and service.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Manager. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the slaughtering and production process to ensure that targets are met while maintaining a high level of quality.

This is a hands on role that requires a complete knowledge and ability of livestock slaughtering as well as pork and beef deboning/cutting/processing !

The production manager will also be responsible for ensuring that production staff comply with safety and quality standards, optimizing production processes, and managing the slaughter process.

Qualifications

3-5 years meat cutting experience in the pork / beef industry 3-5 years livestock slaughtering experience Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team Excellent organizational and planning skills Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams Understanding of safety and quality standards in a production setting Master Butcher Degree or equivalent is a plus

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
