Compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Harvesting Superintendent the applicant will be a part of a highly enthusiastic and professional group of individuals. The Harvesting Supervisor will provide all necessary support and expertise in harvest supervision and construction to meet requirements for LP's Dawson Smartside facility.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

Supervise harvesting, road construction, road maintenance and deactivation activities. Participate in timber reconnaissance, layout, grass seeding, post harvest assessments, and hazard abatement. Document and data management Ensure compliance with company policy, applicable government regulations May coordinate special projects as needed Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations Perform other duties, as necessary.

What do I need to be successful?

3 years forestry experience. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position. In-depth knowledge of forestry procedures and harvesting systems In depth knowledge of road construction and road maintenance activities / techniques including deactivation. Knowledge of applicable government regulations Basic forestry field skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and analytical skills. Demonstrated supervisory experience Ability to operate ATVs. Class 5 Driver's License required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Forestry or Forest Technician Diploma.
